Meal Plan Monday

I'm not feeling very inspired this week, and my boring menu reflects that!

Monday: Chicken Tortilla Soup - Several years ago, my cousin Monica had an arts and crafts store. She also sold little packets of dip and soup mixes. This is from a mix, but is the most flavorful tortilla soup ever! I add chicken and frozen corn to it, and top my bowl with crushed tortilla chips and shredded cheese. Yum!

Tuesday: Hamburgers, Baked Beans, Chips

Wednesday: Happy birthday to Hannah! We'll be going out to the restaurant of her choice. Most likely, it will be O'Hana Steakhouse and that is A-OK with me! Yummy!

Thursday: Garlic-Mustard Grilled Beef Skewers, Rice, Green Beans

Friday: Homemade Pizza, Salad

Sometime this weekend, I'm planning to make Game Day Chili (I leave out the beans, but otherwise make it pretty close to the recipe) . Kevin just asked me about chili this weekend. I guess he's hungry for it, too! Corn bread and fritos on the side!

Hey Joann! Just wondering if you have ever flipped through Martha Stewart's Everyday Food magazine? I get it every month and it has an awesome 5-day meal plan with a grocery list included...I went to the store today and bought every thing for dinner this week and spent around $70! Also, the recipes are super yummy and pretty healthy (sometimes I come across ones that I know we won't eat, but that's when we rotate old recipes). Just fyi...your meal plan looks far from boring in my mind, by the way!

I agree with Angie- Your menu sounds great to me! You always inspire me! I love the Everyday Food magazine- it is my favorite cooking magazine and Martha Stewart has an I-phone app where she sends you an Everyday Food recipe every day. I LOVE it! When I am planning what we are going to eat I always think of you. I have some great crockpot recipes I need to send you for your busy Tuesday nights. One is for shredded beef tacos that is SO good...I just took them to the guys in the field and they loved them!
